Eco Friendly Toiletries - Dorset Glamping Holidays

Reduce, Reuse, Recycle

REDUCE: We use refillable containers for all our (eco friendly) toiletries and cleaning and plastic free toilet paper. This includes Faith in Nature Body Wash, Ecover Washing up Liquid, Method cleaning products and Bio D hand wash. The food and drinks we provide are as locally and sustainably sourced as possible, often from just a few miles down the road! Dorset Tea, Dorset Cereals, and Hullabaloo drinks!

REUSE: Many of the items you’ll find in the huts are upcycled into being – including both the kitchens!

RECYCLE: We encourage all guests to recycle as much as possible, you will find a box both at your hut and in the washroom. This is absolutely imperative to our ethos and we hope all our guests agree how important this is!

Tree planting

Over the past couple of years, we have planted over 130 trees on our small site to try to reduce our carbon footprint. These are all native species, and specifically chosen to encourage birds, bees and bugs. Pollinators are absolutely essential to the sustainability of our farm and we love to encourage them wherever we can!

We’re aiming to plant more trees over the coming years as well, and offer a chance for you to help with this through our tree planting package!

The Lake

The lake, in all its glory is a wildlife haven. Hosting moorhens, water rail, ducks, toads, newts and countless smaller critters, the lake provides a safe haven. Naturally spring fed, we maintain the lake carefully and meticulously to maintain and enhance these habitats. Looking over the lake reminds you of the importance of nature, sustainability and an eco mindset in our world.

What Next?

We are always looking to improve our eco credentials. Our latest project has been a move to completely British charcoal, to avoid the toxic additives in imported charcoal, and also the carbon emissions and fuel use from transport.  Additionally this has the benefit of not contributing to potentially destructive deforestation overseas.

If you have ideas or comments on how you think we could improve, please let us know!
